About Psychological Counseling at Bophelo Life Wellness

Director and Psychological facilitator

Cynthia Lebelo is a Psychological Facilitator and Director at Bophelo Life Wellness, where she offers counseling services that focus on emotional healing and enhancing mental wellbeing. She has earned a BA degree in Psychology, a BA Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Counselling (BPsych Equivalent) from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Moreover, Cynthia is a qualified Registered Counsellor registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

Our Mission

At Bophelo Life Wellness, our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, experiences, and behaviors through our counseling services. We are motivated by witnessing clients tap into their strengths and resilience as they work towards emotional healing, growth, and change. Our passion lies in empowering individuals, couples, families, and communities to overcome challenges and achieve optimal mental wellbeing. We believe that every person deserves to live a fulfilling life, and we are committed to assisting clients as they navigate their unique journey towards better mental wellbeing.

Our Approach

We provide counseling services that emphasize short-to-medium term psychosocial and psychological interventions aimed at screening and preventing psychological disorders . Our approach fosters the management of psychological distress to promote mental health/wellbeing by employing evidence-based techniques such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy tools.
